"I See Humans But No Humanity"

This design was stemmed from a thought Lauren had in 2021 while she was out running errands. Lauren explains:

I remember running errands at our local box store in 2021. None of the fellow shoppers would look up and make eye contact with me. A friendly nod and smile was just a faint memory at this point. I passed a new mother with a baby in her carrier, and she shielded the baby and turned away from me as if I was a Leper. "What has happened to people?", I kept thinking. I was living in Hawaii at the time, under normal circumstances it was common for friends to greet each other with a hug and a kiss on the cheeks, and strangers were always given a friendly nod when you made eye contact. In a matter of months, fear had turned us against each other. That year my mother became over heated and passed out in the outdoor gardening section of a home improvement store. When she came to, face down in a puddle of blood, the first thing bystanders asked her was "Do you have COVID?". Where is the humanity? What happened to helping each other when we are in need? Since when did fear stop us from showing common decency? That's when this design came to life. I scribbled it down on a post-it note in the car after one of many depressing shopping trips. "I see humans but no humanity". I felt so low writing those words out. How did we get here? Am I crazy? I can't be the only one seeing it this way. Will this ever end?

I hope this design gives you something to relate to. We're now nearly two years into this social experiment. You are not alone and we are growing by the day. The narrative is crumbling with each day forward. Take heart and set your eyes on Jesus. I have realized when you no longer fear death because you know Jesus, your perspective shifts and you find room to live and love more freely. You're no longer gripping on to false idols, statistics, and fear. It's a wonderful thing.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

John 11:25
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.”

Philippians 1:21
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

About our print process: We print exclusively with water based inks. These inks are superior in their ability to create soft, ever-lasting prints and are better for the environment. A minimal amount of fading is expected after the first wash.  After that, you'll be left with that worn in favorite tee, vintage print. White inks are double printed and will retain a thicker and opaque texture.

Variations: Colors may vary based on screens. Each Item is hand printed and may vary slightly due to nature of the art!

Please note: While we are on the road, this product will be printed on demand and fulfilled by our 3rd party partners! Turnaround time is approximately 5-9 business days!
